Reds Break Through in Second Half Against Huddersfield

Whenever you see a club like Huddersfield Town on the fixture list, you think you can walk through the match. There's usually only two ways these opponents display the nature of the gameplay — which is — either going for it especially being at home, or sitting back getting bombarded while trying to counter attack in between defending most of the game. Liverpool forced their opposition into plan B of those two options.

This tactic tends to yield scoreless results if the more attacking and possessive squad isn't getting many clear chances. Although Salah continues to play out of his boots ever since arriving at Anfield, he missed a good penalty chance as it was blocked by a keeper, who I must say, made some good saves to keep "H Town" close in the match.

I wondered why Milner wasn't taking the pen, but could understand why Mo took it. Without scoring at all through 90 minutes, Mo is surely due next game as he has been scoring seemingly every great chance he gets.

It needs to be mentioned that having Klavan in for the disgruntled and laboring Lovren, is an absolute gift for a change. I think it was always a sure thing to mention Lovren the first chance I got. Now I must say that he is an utter liability being in our starting lineup every week. The atrocity that is Dejan Lovren needs to be sorted out. Matip is head over heels better than his centerback counterpart, and a clear reflection on what was a desperately needed position that was failed to be addressed in the offseason. Even though Klavan may not be thee answer to the back line's problems, it is a world full of confidence compared to when the Croatian is running around out there.

After a scoreless first half, Sturridge's tally opened up the flood gates in a big opening goal for the match. "H Town" were no match for the relentless Liverpool attack as they potted a couple more by the end of the 90 minutes. Firmino showed off more eccentric celebrations after a header off a nice corner kick, before Wijnaldum hit a beauty that was labeled top right biscuits to seal the deal.

"Gini" Wijnaldum continues to impress me the most in a midfield that includes some solid players after having Gerrard and Leiva depart in recent seasons. Everyone loves a player that does just about everything on the pitch and the Dutchman fills that role very well. You're comfortable knowing he's out there.

Oxlade-Chamberlain; well, it's going to take a while for this guy to really break in. I want to love him, but it's hard when you only see him for the last five or ten minutes each match. He has started some games, but he seems like that player that should be producing more, at least when he has a longer time period in matches. You know the ability is there to be a difference maker. For now, O.C. gives an impression of being one of those inconsistent wingers — only providing on certain unpredictable occasions. The prospect of the potential having no ceiling to it can be exciting for a Reds fan as they continue to monitor the form of their most recent arrival.
